Bringing Your Reader into a
Carefully Constructed World
This workshop aims to demystify the poetry-making process. Poems are nothing more than compact expressions of the everyday, folded into recognizable shapes. Your own personal anecdotes and experiences are the raw material for inspiring turns of phrase and surprising imagery.
Cost: $15 per person.
Participants can email me directly (email@example.com) for a PDF with the exercises we'll be using, which they should print out and bring along to the event.
Supply list: imagination, a pen or pencil, a notebook (paper preferred), any palm-sized object or totem, and a photograph that speaks to you.
